In the early years of movie theaters, the advertisements for a new movie were shown after the main film is finished thus the name trailers. Today, movie trailers are shown before the beginning of a movie so moviegoers cannot miss them. The trailers shown are usually the best part of the movie, often the action-packed or the funny parts of it. Some parts of the trailers selected are special scenes that are only for advertisements and not shown in the actual movie. These scenes are usually ones that were edited out for reasons to pass a certain movie restriction, often scenes that are violent and were edited out of the movie.
